May 30 2018: (Washington DC) WTS International (WTS), the spa, fitness and lifestyle consultancy and management firm, has won the contract to manage the five-star gym at Attitude Fitness in downtown Los Angeles. The firm also worked on the planning and opening.
Located high above the city streets on the seventh floor of InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown hotel, the new gym feeds off the city vibe to motivate both hotel guests and members, taking the service to a new level by offering workouts based on the latest fitness trends.
The club also offers state-of-the-art equipment, a large free-weights area and a plyometric workout space, catering to all fitness levels, from novice to expert.
The aim is to create an experience that encourages both guests and members to become visitors for life.
The club’s GM, Chrystie Sullivan, says: “At Attitude Fitness we offer all the amenities of a larger health club, but with a boutique vibe, catering to those who want a more personalised service.
“They could be busy executives looking for an express workout, or fitness enthusiasts wanting to experience a new kind of energy to inspire them to meet their workout goals.
“We have the latest fitness equipment, featuring the Technogym Artis and Kinesis lines which include functional and selectorised equipment and cardio with connectivity. In addition, Attitude offers luxurious spa locker rooms and both studio and express classes, to ensure clients can fit a workout into their busy schedule.”
Commenting on the contract, Jamie Wolf, WTS corporate operations director, fitness division, says: “WTS was hired to plan, open and manage the daily operations of this five-star club. This includes generating and retaining a membership base, retail and selling fee-based fitness services.
“We’ve also developed marketing and prospecting strategies, which will enable the club to thrive in this challenging, competitive environment,” he explains.
WTS is also responsible for hiring and training gym staff and will ensure they live up to five-star standards, representing the core values of both InterContinental Hotels Group and WTS.
As Wolf explains: “WTS will ensure the right team is in place to provide the best personal training services to support members and guests in reaching their fitness goals, as well as being responsible for facility cleanliness and the oversight of equipment, to ensure it’s fit for purpose.
In its management role, WTS will drive membership growth, as well as offering a service that’s personalised, to ensure member retention. The firm will also be responsible for marketing and outreach, representing the InterContinental brand and ensuring people working or living in downtown Los Angeles recognise Attitude as their workout club of choice.
