Liz Bohannon, co-founder and co-CEO of ethical fashion brand Sseko Designs, will keynote the 2020 Club Industry Show, which is Oct. 14-16, 2020, in St. Louis, Missouri.
She also is author of “Beginner’s Pluck: Build Your Life of Purpose and Impact Now.” Her book and her presentation illustrate how to build your passion and reach your dreams, even when you feel like a fraud or failure. She shares insightful and humorous stories from her own experiences as a journalism graduate who moved to Uganda with the hope of becoming a human rights journalist but instead started a social enterprise. After a false start selling chickens, Bohannon built her business from three women making sandals together under a mango tree to an international fashion brand that provides employment, educational opportunities and entrepreneurial training to hundreds of women in Uganda and across the globe.
Her experience translates to the fitness industry whether you are a personal trainer, manager, director or front desk staff member at a commercial club, studio, university rec center or not-for-profit or even if you are an owner of a large multipurpose commercial club company.
