Moving Forward with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Discussions

A four-part panel series on diversity, equity and inclusion, put together by Frank Ancharski of Club Coach Services and Rodney Morris of Workplace Culture Workout, will begin on Jan. 18, and Club Industry will participate in it. (Image courtesy Rodney Morris.)

Club Industry will be picking up our diversity, equity and inclusion series again later this month, but in the interim, I am happy to share that I will be participating in a diversity panel put together by Frank Ancharski of Club Coach Services and Rodney Morris of Workplace Culture Workout at 2 p.m. ET on Jan. 18, which happens to be Martin Luther King Day.

The panel, “When It Comes to Diversity and Inclusion, What Is the Fitness Industry Getting Right and Getting Wrong?,” is moderated by Ancharski and includes Morris as a panelist along with Cedric Bryant, president and chief science officer of ACE Fitness; Maria Gonzalez, CEO of ClubFitness Greensboro; and me.

This panel is the first in a four-part monthly series that Ancharski and Morris are putting together. The other panels are:

Feb. 15: "White voices speak: Can diversity really help the fitness industry?"

March 15: "Taking Decisive Action: A Diversity & Inclusion Strategy Development Master Class for fitness business owners & operators"

April 12: "It Takes a Village: How to Successfully implement Diversity & Inclusion programs that elevate EVERYONE"

You can find out more about the series and register to attend by going here.
