RSG Group Opens Second John Reed Fitness in U.S.

RSG Group, the German company that owns Gold’s Gym along with 15 other brands, has opened its second U.S. location, the company announced on Feb. 22.

The 30,000-square-foot location in Dallas joins the company’s first U.S. location, which opened in Los Angeles in March 2021. This location is the 42nd John Reed club worldwide.

"I'm so excited for the people of Dallas to experience John Reed,” John Reed Dallas Club Manager Alex Knies said in the announcement. “From the moment our members walk in, they are supported by our stellar team and have access to a variety of training opportunities. That's just the start. It's our goal to create memorable experiences with great music, awesome programming, and fascinating interiors, all the ingredients that really make John Reed an unparalleled fitness environment and something not seen anywhere else."

The club features gym80 equipment plus free weights, a functional training area, machine strength training, cardio, unlimited group classes, and cycling. Group exercise classes include John Reed’s signature class, Boost Club, which is a HIIT-style class with DJs, who sit in a booth constructed of mirrored class.

The facility is outfitted with infinity mirrors in the Rack City room and handmade cyborg installations. John Reed enlisted the help of visual artists in Texas to create a collaborative 2,000-square-foot mural in the heart of the gym emphasizing the club's commitment to not just art and design, but the local community as well.

Last year, RSG announced it would open its HEIMAT club in Los Angeles by the end of 2021, but the opening is now scheduled for early 2022.
