Fhitting Room Opens First Location Inside New York Sports Club

Fhitting Room, the brand that New York Sports Club (NYSC) purchased in October 2022, has opened its first studio inside a NYSC, the company announced.

The new studio, which is the first of three locations slated to open this year, is on the ground floor of the NYSC on E 76th Street on the Upper East Side of New York City, the Fhitting Room’s original neighborhood.

The two additional Fhitting Room studios to open this year within NYSC are in Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

Fhitting Room also operates two flagship studios in New York City in Flatiron and Upper West Side and one licensed location in Bergen County, New Jersey.

“Building our signature studio designed around our best-in-class programming adjacent to NYSC’s full-service neighborhood gym, we can provide Fhitting Room clients with a holistic fitness solution that caters to their individual needs and expands their fitness experience beyond our functional high intensity class format offering,” said Fhitting Room President Liz Benjamin.

Fhitting Room attendees can complement their workout before or after class with access to the NYSC facility and amenities including a recovery lounge with Hydromassage chairs, functional field turf areas for training and stretching, cardio machines, and a full-service locker room.

All NYSC members will receive preferred pricing on Fhitting Room packages and memberships as well as introductory offers, both in-studio at all Fhitting Room locations and Fhitting Room's LIVE! virtual classes.

Fhitting Room offers HIIT and strength training programming in a group workout led by a personal trainer.

Founded in 1973, NYSC previously was Town Sports International.

It now has 25 clubs in the New York City metro and six in regional New York, all operating as New York Sports Clubs along with three clubs in Switzerland operating under that name. It also has two clubs in Philadelphia operating as Philadelphia Sports Clubs, three in the District of Columbia and one in Maryland operating as Washington Sports Clubs, and 11 in Boston and the surrounding area operating as Boston Sports Clubs. It also owns three Lucille Roberts clubs in New York and one in New Jersey, plus three Around the Clock Fitness locations in Florida.
