The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM), “The Man” the “Original and Authentic” celebrates a twenty fifth birthday in 2015. The original idea was dumbbells. Back in 1990 the exercise equipment business was a lot different than today and most clients consisted of health clubs and YMCA locations. TDM sold dumbbells, bars and plates.  People lifted weights, pumped iron, took aerobics classes dressed in bad clothing.

The name, like the business was simple.  It was “original” that was for sure. The challenge was to become “authentic”, to be real and genuine.  That took time and it required expanding operations into a team. After a twenty five journey, “Team Dumbell Man” now serves the needs of over 10,000 customers commercial exercise equipment customers.

Things have changed. The market for quality commercial grade exercise equipment continues to expand.  TDM now serves market segments that include hospitality, corporate wellness, multi-family housing, police and fire, resorts and country clubs, private health clubs, medical facilities schools, colleges and universities. Perhaps things are not so simple any more.

Today customers work with a dedicated team of experienced professionals. TDM still performs three basic tasks; sales, installation and service. “We sell exercise equipment, we make sure it fits and we fix it if it breaks.” stated TDM President Michael Garvey. That’s it, back to simplicity. Understanding customers’ needs only comes with experience. Team Dumbell Man now has 25 years. It’s something to be proud of.

For twenty five years The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment has supported numerous chair ties including; City of Hope, Cancer Support Community, Goodwill Orange County, Arc San Diego, NextStep Fitness, Westcoast Sports Associates, The Salvation Army, and the Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments.
