LA Fitness to Rebrand Seattle's Vision Quest Clubs, Close Four and Transfer Memberships

Fitness International LLC, the owner and operator of Irvine, CA-based LA Fitness, is rebranding the Vision Quest Sport and Fitness clubs in the greater Seattle area as LA Fitness and closing four of the 10 Vision Quest clubs the company acquired in late December 2013.

Fitness International told Club Industry that the four former Vision Quest clubs are within 7 minutes of an existing LA Fitness club. The company is transferring members from those four clubs to larger LA Fitness clubs as of May 1. The transferring members will receive amenities such as a swimming pool and a basketball court at the LA Fitness clubs at no additional cost to their memberships, according to the company.

Specifically:

  • The members of the 25,000-square-foot Tacoma, WA, club will be relocated to the 43,100-square-foot LA Fitness Tacoma North club.
  • The members of the 16,200-square-foot Kent, WA, club will be relocated to the 55,900-square-foot LA Fitness Kent club.
  • The members of the 16,300-square-foot Edmonds, WA, club will be relocated to the 45,000-square-foot LA Fitness Lynnwood, WA, club.
  • The members of the 9,500-square-foot Everett, WA, club will be relocated to the 45,200-square-foot LA Fitness Mill Creek, WA, club.

All active memberships that Fitness International purchased from Vision Quest will be honored under the terms of their current agreements. The company added that current members of the four clubs being relocated who have single-club access will be given access to all LA Fitness clubs in the state of Washington (excluding signature clubs).

Also, current members of any Vision Quest club who have multi-club access also will be given access to all LA Fitness clubs in the state that are not signature clubs. Finally, current LA Fitness members who have multi-club access also will be given access to the six remaining former Vision Quest clubs.
