LA Fitness Bans Playboy Playmate Dani Mathers for Nude 'Body Shaming' Snapchat Post

LA Fitness has revoked the membership of 2015 Playmate of the Year Dani Mathers because of a Snapchat post she made of a nude club member in an LA Fitness locker room.

Mathers took a photo of the naked woman at an unknown club location, spliced that image with a photo of herself with her hand over her mouth, and posted it to her Snapchat account with the caption: "If I can't unsee this then you can't either," according to the New York Post.

Mathers' Snapchat was later deleted, according to the Post report. The LA Fitness response was swift.

"Her behavior is appalling and puts every member's privacy at risk," LA Fitness wrote in a July 15 Facebook post. "We ended her membership and she cannot use any club. It’s not just our rule, it’s common decency."

LA Fitness posted a similar message on Twitter:

Jill Greuling, executive vice president of operations, LA Fitness, said law enforcement was notified about the incident, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Times reports the Los Angeles Police Department's West division sexual assault section is investigating.

"Her behavior is appalling and puts every member at risk of losing their privacy," Greuling told the Times. "Our written rules are very clear: Cellphone usage and photography are prohibited in the locker rooms."

Mathers' Twitter and Instagram have apparently been deleted amid social media backlash, and she posted a public apology in a Snapchat video (below). In the video, Mathers said she is new to Snapchat and "accidentally" posted the spliced image thinking it was a private conversation with another friend.

"That was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do," Playboy's 2015 Playmate of the Year said. "I know that body-shaming is wrong and that's not what I'm about. That is not the type of person I am."
