Houstonian Lite Expands to Downtown Houston

HOUSTON — The Redstone Companies has finalized a lease that will expand its Houstonian Lite chain of health clubs into the heart of downtown Houston. The new club, which follows the launch of Houstonian Lite Sugar Land, is slated to open in the fall at downtown's Pennzoil Place and is the second of multiple locations planned for the Houston area, the company said. The Redstone Companies has selected The Clerkely Watkins Group and Camden Builders to complete the design and construction of the project.

The line of Lite clubs is designed in the image of Redstone's Houstonian Club, and will represent Redstone's first foray into downtown Houston.

“There is a tremendous opportunity in the downtown marketplace for an affordable, upscale, luxury, health club,” said Herb Lipsman, CEO of Houstonian Lite. “Houstonian Lite Downtown will capitalize on the brand equity of both Redstone and The Houstonian and offer a ‘lifestyle choice’ that will exceed member expectations.”
