The Abs Company Acquires Impact Fitness

The Abs Company, Flanders, New Jersey, acquired fitness equipment supplier Impact Fitness LLC, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, on Wednesday.

The Abs Company, which has a commercial portfolio of brands that includes the Ab Coaster, Ab Solo and The Abs Bench, announced the acquisition in a press release. Terms were not disclosed.

The addition of Impact Fitness adds full-body functional training and equipment to The Abs Company portfolio. Impact Fitness' line largely serves the commercial fitness market in functional fitness, boxing and cross training categories. Its products include Impact Functional Cages, cage accessories, boxing apparatus and The Tire Flip 180.

"With the addition of Impact Fitness, we are able to expand and enhance our product offerings to better serve the consumer and commercial fitness markets, including health clubs, university, and military," The Abs Company President Sean Gagnon said in a statement. "We are confident that our expanded product line will position our company for the explosive growth in the functional, boxing and cross training categories worldwide."

The Abs Company supplies consumer and commercial abdominal exercise equipment, and its products are used in 10,000 commercial facilities in over 40 countries. The Abs Company also assists fitness facilities in design and layout of spaces dedicated to core training.
