Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania, will break ground next month on a new athletic and recreation pavilion.
The college said the pavilion will be an expansion of the Dixon Center—the college’s existing athletic facility. The two-story space will include a new fitness area, studios for exercise and event space, locker rooms for intercollegiate teams, weight and strength training spaces, equipment storage and a lobby with a café and social space.
“All Cabrini students will benefit from both the state-of-the art fitness center and the college’s ability to meet the increasing demand that students have demonstrated for diverse recreation and wellness programming,” said Christine Lysionek, vice president of Student Life at Cabrini College. “It also will provide a welcoming space where students can gather, socialize and experience an increased sense of community and connection.”
Officials said construction of the pavilion will be complete in fall 2016.
