With Veterans Day just around the corner and numerous limited time specials, Spinning®, the creator and worldwide leader of the indoor cycling category, invites military personnel to join the Certified Spinning Instructor team at a special rate at any time of year. Through the federal government’s MyCAA program, eligible military spouses can have their entire certification fee covered.

With the reduction of military budgets and the de-escalation of American involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, thousands of members of the military are predicted to go back into civilian life in the coming years.

“The Spinning program has allowed thousands of certified instructors to embark on successful, dynamic, and sustaining careers in the fitness industry,” said Mad Dogg Athletics Vice President of Programs and Education Dr. Kevin Steele. “We want to do everything we can to open up opportunities for our military families and veterans, supporting them with access to meaningful civilian employment. As a company, we feel it is our duty to serve those who have bravely served our country.”

Spinning participates in the MyCAA program, which is a career development and employment assistance program helping military spouses pursue certifications and training needed for gainful employment. It is a component of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) program and provides an education benefit of up to $4,000 to assist eligible military spouses who need professional credentials to meet their career goals.

Spinning Instructor Training is the original and most widely recognized indoor cycling training program in the world. Spinning’s comprehensive one-day training, lead by a Spinning Master Instructor, prepares attendees for the Certified Spinning Instructor Assessment and provides them with the knowledge and skills they need to become a dynamic indoor cycling leader. Lessons range from specific equipment and biomechanics skills to motivating coaching and teaching strategies.

Spinning Instructor training courses and workshops are hosted across the world at fitness facilities on and off military bases. Active members of the Armed Services are eligible to receive a special price on their registration fees at on-base trainings by receiving a promo code from the facility coordinator (host of the training.) Eligible spouses of service members must register their participation in the MyCAA program and Spinning will bill MyCAA directly after the course is completed.

For additional information or assistance related to the MyCAA program, call (800) 342-9647 to speak with a MyCAA Career and Education Consultant or use the MyCAA Message Box if a MyCAA Account has been established.
