Once again, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is predicted to be one of the the most popular fitness trends in 2018, ranking in the top three since 2014, according to an annual survey by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
More than 4,000 fitness professionals were surveyed about what the top fitness trends will be in 2018, with HIIT training—bursts of all-out exercise followed by short periods of rest for recovery—topping the list. The respondents were offered 40 fitness trends from which to choose.
