WEIGHT PLANNING SOFTWARE

Iron Grip's eWeight Planner software guides club owners through the free weight planning and purchasing process. The program calculates the amount of free weights required by a fitness facility. The Planner generates weight plate breakdowns depending on the type and quantity of plate-loaded strength and free weight equipment that the club has or is planning to purchase. It also suggests dumbbell quantities as well as Olympic bars, and recommends racks when necessary. To build the eWeight Planner, Iron Grip partnered with strength equipment providers including Life Fitness, Nautilus, Cybex, Hoist, Paramount and Body Masters. Future versions of the planner will include additional vendors. Contact: Iron Grip, 4012 Garry Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92704-6300.

The system's four programming disciplines are part of GRAVITY4s — GRAVITY4Programming and each is conducted on the GTS machine. BODY COMPOSITION SYSTEM

The BOD POD® S/T Body Composition Tracking System features an egg-shaped chamber that uses advanced air displacement technology to measure body composition. A BOD POD S/T measurement takes approximately 4-1/2 minutes and does not require water submersion by the test subject. To take a BOD POD test, an individual is first weighted. Then, he or she enters the chamber and sits during two 50-second measurement periods. The BOD POD uses computerized pressure sensors to determine the amount of air displaced by the person's body. This is repeated to insure accurate results. The subject breathes normally during the entire process. Contact: Life Measurement Inc., 1850 Bates Ave., Concord, CA 94520.
