Club Industry 2006 Conference Hits Chicago Next Month

CHICAGO — Fitness facility owners, managers and directors are gearing up for the Club Industry show in Chicago Oct. 4-7. The show will feature a keynote address by Gale Sayers, former Chicago Bears football player and current owner of Sayers Computer Source; a Lifetime Achievement Award presentation to Rick Caro, president of Management Vision (see page 36 for a profile of Caro); more than 100 seminars and 225 exhibitors.

Events kick off on Wednesday with seminars. The exhibit hall opens on Thursday, and attendees are invited to an opening night reception on the exhibit hall floor from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. that afternoon.

New this year is a T-shirt exchange, held from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, by the Club Industry's Fitness Business Pro booth in the registration area. Attendees and exhibitors are invited to bring never-been-worn T-shirts from their companies to exchange.
