Ex-Life Time Fitness Employee Charged with Two More Counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery

A former Life Time Fitness employee of the company’s club in Collierville, TN, was charged last week with two additional counts of aggravated sexual battery, and local police detectives have obtained surveillance video of one of the alleged incidents.

The incident in the video shows Anthony Webster inappropriately touching an 8-year-old girl, according to an affidavit of complaint reported by the Memphis Commercial Appeal. After the incident, which lasted less than a minute, the 8-year-old ran and hid in the maze area of Life Time’s child care center, the newspaper reported.

Webster was initially arrested on July 14 on the same charge in an incident involving a 6-year-old girl. Webster allegedly picked up the 6-year-old, put her on a ledge and touched her inappropriately, according to the newspaper.

Both of those incidents allegedly took place on June 16. Webster also is accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl in a separate incident that occurred a week earlier, according to the newspaper.

Following his July 14 arrest, Webster was released on $1,000 bond. He was arrested again last Thursday after more accusations surfaced and his bond was increased to $50,000. Webster was released the same day on bond, and has agreed to wear a GPS tracking device, the newspaper reported. His next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 29.

Life Time initially suspended Webster when the investigation began in June, then fired him after his first arrest. The Chanhassen, MN-based company had no comment on the two additional charges.
