PLAINFIELD, Ill. — Plainfield is getting its first Fitness Premier 24/7 Club. In August, multi-unit franchisee Eric Greenhill purchased a local gym, which he plans to convert into his newest location with the fast-growing fitness franchise. Greenhill currently owns four Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs, three of which were opened just this year. Greenhill’s newest location at 16108 Illinois 59 Suite 126 will open in fall 2021.
Fitness Premier 24/7, the Illinois-founded, group-workout gym franchise, has grown rapidly in recent years thanks to an innovative model that brings engaging group fitness classes to suburbs and small markets typically ignored by other major gym brands. With a population of roughly 43,000, Plainfield is the perfect home for the Fitness Premier 24/7 concept, especially after a tough year, Greenhill says.
“The thing about small towns is everyone who wants to workout goes to the same place,” Greenhill said. “Everybody is in classes together. It’s a community. 2020 was a tough year for everyone, but in 2021 and in the future, I think people are going to be more invested in their health, and we’re excited to provide an outlet for that in Plainfield.”
Greenhill’s four other Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs are located in Minooka, Coal City and Homer Glen, Illinois and Cedar Lake, Indiana. The clubs in Coal City, Homer Glen and Cedar Lake also opened in 2021.

This includes a full line of Life Fitness and Hammer Strength Equipment, 24/7 access, live or virtual group classes and both personal and team training.
“Although I’m operating multiple locations, I’m in each of my clubs at least twice a week, and I plan to do the same in Plainfield,” said Greenhill. “I want to make time for my customers and staff. People like to know that the owner is accessible and will talk with them about what’s working and what’s not. You won’t find that at most gyms.”
