Keith Johnson Joins Fitness Plus as President

St. Charles, MO, April 2021:  Fitness Plus Equipment Services, Inc. (Fitness Plus) is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Johnson as the organization’s new President as of April 5, 2021.  Johnson brings to this position his wealth of knowledge and experience in leadership, operations/training, and business development from his more than 20 years in the field.

As Master Chief Petty Officer with the U.S. Navy, he managed senior personnel to achieve organizational goals and growth.  Following the Navy, Johnson worked in financial services for 13 years with Wolters Kluwer where he was Lean Six Sigma Certified and a Risk Management Specialist. As such, he led process improvement initiatives across the company.  Most recently, he and his family resided in Ruston, LA where he managed all the Commercial Accounts for Mark Johnson Plumbing.  

Jeremy Jacobs, previous President and CEO, will retain the CEO role and work closely with Johnson to continue to drive growth for the locally-owned Jacob’s family business.  “Keith is an outstanding addition to our Fitness Plus team, as he brings a deep blend of experience and what it takes to deliver client success… we are thrilled to have him join our organization,” said Jacobs.

On his new role Johnson said, “I am honored and excited to join the Fitness Plus team to continue to build on the solid foundation and technology platform that is currently in place.  I believe we have a great business model and are well positioned for our brand to continue to impact the fitness industry through supply and technology.” 

Fitness Plus Equipment Services, Inc. (Fitness Plus) operates the e-commerce website FitnessRepairParts.com.  In 2010, Fitness Plus was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the country in Inc 500’s annual list of the 500 fastest growing private companies. Since being named to the list, Fitness Plus has continued to expand and now occupies a 66,000 square foot warehouse off of Main Street in St. Charles, MO. Fitness Plus is a locally-owned business run by Jeremy Jacobs, who took over the family business from his father in 2015 and maintains its place as one of the largest and most comprehensive fitness parts suppliers in the country.
