The 3-day conference marks IDEA’s first in-person event since March 2020 and is poised to extend IDEA’s gold-standard education to East Asia and beyond. It will include the following highlights:

  • Small group training workshops that integrate Powerplate®.
  • How to program functional movement and fascia training into kettlebell workouts.
  • Detailed information on how to work with special populations.

  • A deep dive into how to properly coach clients on the reformer.

This year’s speakers include Emily Splichal, DPM, Steve Powell, Crystal Main, Leslee Bender, Brian Richey, Noh Su-yeon, Moon Ji-sook, Lee Sang-gil, Lee Hak-joo, Farel Hruska, Brian Bettendorf and more than 30 other fitness experts who will share immediately accessible information, which is one of IDEA’s hallmarks.

“We are thrilled to bring our global community of inspired fitness leaders together for this inaugural event in South Korea,” says Amy Boone Thompson, IDEA’s vice president and general manager. “The theme for this event is “Ignite Passion.” For me, this suggests that we are here to bring our fitness community together with messages of unity, inclusion and support. To create ripples of positivity, resilience and encouragement while sharpening our skills to better support our clients to live healthier lifestyles. I can’t think of a more important time for fitness professionals and business owners to reignite their passion for their careers.”

Jeon Eun-young, president of the Korean Host of IDEA® KOREA, said, “I hope that this high-level convention provides the opportunity for the fitness culture of Korea to develop one step further and grow together. We will strive to operate public content and programs that anyone
can easily understand according to the COVID era.”

Since 1984, IDEA® World Convention has grown from 600 attendees to more than 14,000. The extension of this popular event to Korea is an important milestone as the fitness industry continues to rediscover its footing following the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more about IDEA® KOREA 2021.
