P.volve, a functional fitness franchise with a Clinical Advisory Board of medical experts, is changing the industry with its methods of achieving a sculpted physique with less strain on the body.

NEW YORK, NY – P.volve, the boutique fitness franchise headquartered in New York (with physical locations in New York, LA and Chicago), provides a leading holistic fitness method unlike any other fitness approach, by bridging the gap between fitness and physical therapy. Founded in 2017, the P.volve Method consists of using physical therapy-inspired functional movement to support members throughout every stage of their lives. The Method highlights using primary muscles and often-neglected stabilizer muscles as one holistic unit, strengthening areas of instability and sensitivity.

Since day one, Julie Cartwright, president of P.volve, says the brand has always been focused on its mission to strengthen and heal, and a major part of achieving that goal involves participation in clinical studies to build credibility behind the brand’s method.

“These studies simply allow us to state clinically that the method does more than just focus on fitness; it helps with pain management and reduction,” said RJ Krone, P.volve’s VP of Studio and Franchise Operations. “We knew clients were coming in and feeling better, but when we participated in a clinical study with the University of Minnesota, it provided solid proof that P.volve could be used as a method for reducing pain.”

“We also built a clinical advisory board, which helped us with building classes that were based on science. That is why our method is age-agnostic — we see people in their 20s to people in their 60s, and they all find both fitness development and pain relief,” said Krone.

The clinical advisory board is comprised of renowned health specialists, including Dr. Amy Hoover, who owns APHysio, a hands-on therapy and wellness practice; Dr. Nima Alamdari, Honorary Professor of Sport and Health Sciences and former Harvard educator; and Dr. Suman Tewari, an obstetrician-gynecologist with more than two decades in the field. They are overseeing multiple clinical trials to determine muscle recovery strategies that strengthen and nourish the body.

Another way P.volve is intermixing holistic wellness with fitness is through its recent expansion of the brand’s “Movement Therapy” content category. This form of exercise has numerous workouts that were carefully crafted by trainers alongside the Clinical Advisory Board to ensure that P.volve’s physical fitness plans create strong physiques, while addressing clients’ pain points such as back pain, hip recovery, knee stability and more. With P.volve being a

woman-focused brand, there are specific programs in the category around female-specific needs, like pelvic floor health, menstrual cycle symptom management, pre- and post-natal workouts, and endometriosis management. Dr. Hoover is spearheading a pilot program with a network of doctors across the nation to recommend P.volve’s Movement Therapy techniques as part of continuous care plans for medical patients.
