Basic-Fit, Europe’s largest and fastest-growing fitness operator, has announced plans to extend its virtual cycling offering across its network of over 530 clubs, supported by digital fitness specialist Wexer.

Basic-Fit has already invested in producing its own virtual GXR class content, with a hi-tech production studio in the Netherlands creating around 28 new classes every two months.

The roll-out of the new GXR Indoor Cycling classes will now be facilitated by a partnership agreement with Wexer, whereby Basic-Fit will exclusively use Wexer as the platform to deliver its virtual cycling classes.

Rene Moos, CEO of Basic-Fit, explains: “At Basic-Fit, we aim to make fitness accessible to everyone across Europe by constantly innovating, using technology to make fitness easy, affordable and fun.

“Virtual fitness is an important part of that mix. It allows us to deliver high quality group exercise 24/7, delivering unrivalled choice and flexibility to our members while still maintaining our low-cost membership model.”

BasicFit operates over 530 clubs in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Spain, serving 1.6 million members. Its flexible, value for money membership model encompasses high-quality fitness equipment and technology, virtual and live group lessons, and shareable family passes.
