Central NJ JCC Fitness Center Opens


SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The JCC of Central New Jersey will open its new 3,400-square-foot fitness center on Monday.

By opening the new fitness center, JCC officials hope to build a sense of community among members, according to Larry Schwartz, general manager.

“The purpose of the JCC Fitness and Wellness Center is to make fitness fun, bring the community together and increase the quality of peoples’ lives through fitness,” Schwartz told local media.

The new center features more than 55 pieces of strength training and cardio equipment, new group exercise and spin studios, more than 25 personal TVs on cardio equipment, renovated indoor and outdoor pools, and upgraded locker rooms.

The facility will offer personal training, small group training and free group exercise programs.
