CLARION, PA — The Clarion County YMCA is expanding its services by collaborating with a local hospital. Clarion Hospital's fitness program, Wellness Works, will merge with the Y's wellness services effective on March 1.
The Wellness Works members will be transferred over to the new wellness program, which will be called Healthy Friends. The hospital's fitness trainer will move over to the Y, which will offer customized exercise plans for each member and work with patients who have completed rehab programs.
The partnership will allow the Y to take a more active role in helping members recover from fractures, sports injuries and surgery, says Mike Ebert, Y program director.
