Peak Fitness Acquires Clubs

RALEIGH, NC — Peak Fitness, which recently acquired Capital Fitness Spa Health Clubs, an eight-gym chain based in Raleigh, NC, is looking to take the clubs to the next level.

The clubs, which will be renamed Peak Fitness, will raise the company's number of clubs to 22 in North Carolina and South Carolina. The company plans to upgrade equipment, locker rooms and programming, and Peak Fitness will expand the facilities to accommodate the increase in memberships, says Jeff Stec of Peak Fitness.

“Peak Fitness brings a tremendous amount of stability for Capital Fitness in what many consumers consider an unstable market,” he says.
