Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth's husband, is in hot water in the British newspapers over a “fat” remark he made to a 13-year-old boy. Philip, who is well known for his rude comments, was visiting a rocket project at northern England's Salford University when he reportedly met with the Andrew Adams and his mother. Adams, who is an aspiring astronaut, told the prince that he wanted to go up in the space rocket, according to an article published by Reuters.
“He told me, ‘You'll have to lose weight if you want to go in that,’” Andrew was quoted as saying in the Mirror tabloid.
Jacqueline, Andrew's mother, reportedly told newspapers, “I couldn't understand why someone of that caliber should make such a distasteful remark.”
