Matrix Fitness, Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, reported $620 million in global revenue for 2019, an increase of 17.5 percent from 2018, according to a Feb 18 announcement from the company.
Matrix Fitness is the commercial brand of Johnson Health Tech (JHT), Taichung, Taiwan. JHT also sells Vision and Horizon brands of fitness equipment.
“We continue to see impressive sales growth worldwide across all channels in the commercial segment at rates that far surpass the market’s growth rate and the growth rates of our competitors,” Mark Zabel, global chief marketing officer for Johnson Health Tech and president of the U.S. Commercial Division, said in a media release. “We believe these results reinforce that we’re delivering not only the products and solutions but, most importantly, the service and support that our customers need to be successful.”
Zabel attributed the year's success, in part, to new growth in Asia Pacific and American sales, with a 36 percent year-over-year increase in total U.S. sales.
Comparatively, Matrix experienced 21 percent sales growth between 2017 and 2018.
In early February, Matrix announced a partnership with Brazil-based club chain Smart Fit. Per the deal, Matrix will equip 200 Smart Fit facilities by 2023.
