Health Partnership to Acquire the Beyond Fitness Companies

CHICAGO—Health Partnership is planning two acquisitions in the fitness industry in a two-month time span. In December, the company announced its plan to acquire Capital Partners For Health and Fitness, a chain with nine locations in the Raleigh, NC area. This month, the company announced plans to purchase Beyond Fitness, a company that provides personal training services to 55 health clubs.

Edward Sampson, the founder and CEO of Beyond Fitness and founder and CEO of the fitness center chain operated by Capital Partners, will serve as the CEO of Health Partnership’s fitness center division. He said after his company explored several growth options, including going public, Beyond Fitness decided to become a part of Health Partnership. The closure of the transaction is based on several factors including the completion of audits and approval by the board of directors.
