Club Industry to Host In-Person Conference, Third Future of Fitness Virtual Event

Club Industry will host an in-person conference Nov. 9-10 in Nashville and its third Future of Fitness virtual event June 16-17, the brand announced on March 10.

The in-person conference, Club Industry’s Executive Summit, will be tailored to the executive teams of commercial clubs, studios, YMCAs, Jewish Community Centers, parks and rec facilities, university rec centers and medical wellness facilities. It will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.

“By November, we anticipate that in-person gatherings will again be more comfortable for everyone, but in an abundance of caution, we are choosing to host a smaller in-person conference this year than our Club Industry Show has traditionally been,” said Marty McCallen, managing director of Club Industry. “This education-focused event will bring the same great education we traditionally have had at the Club Industry Show and at the past two Future of Fitness virtual events to the leaders of fitness brands who are working through the intricacies of the new fitness landscape.”

For the past 10 years, Club Industry has held an invitation-only CEO Summit for the C-suite at the largest revenue-generating brands in North America as part of its Club Industry Show. The next Club Industry Show will be held in fall of 2022, but for 2021, the CEO Summit will be part of Club Industry's Executive Summit. The new event will host three separate education tracks: one for the traditional CEO Summit attendees, one for small to mid-sized commercial club owners and studio owners, and one for executives at not-for-profits. All three groups will come together for networking and certain education sessions.

For the rest of the fitness community, Club Industry is focusing on virtual education in 2021 with its third Future of Fitness virtual event to be held June 16-17. The global event will again feature speakers from around the world on topics relevant to the challenges the industry is facing today.

The second Future of Fitness virtual event occurred March 9-10, and its sessions are now available on-demand for free to those who register.

More details on the June virtual event and Club Industry’s Executive Summit in November will be released soon.
