The husband-wife team of Michael Feigin and Lawson Harris transformed a printing house into the Fitness Guru, a 3,400-square-foot fitness center in Brooklyn, NY, with virtual reality training devices, cardio and Pilates equipment, free- weights, a recording studio, and an exercise video production facility. The club, adjacent to Gleason's Gym, features a cardio and strength circuit.

The U.S. Army named Circular Strength Training® (CST), a health and fitness program consisting of mobility, dynamic flow yoga and natural-athleticism, as an official health and conditioning system. CST will be instituted as a training regimen in U.S. Army Combatives School, the 50th Brigade Special Troops Battalion and the 99th RRC Gun Truck Alley.

Millennium Partners Sports Club Management selected Spectrum NG by CSI Software as its new enterprise management software system. Millennium recently acquired six of The Sports Club Company's luxury sports clubs. The properties are located in Boston, New York, Miami, San Francisco and Washington, DC.

The Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA, which has 5,000 members, is spending $6.4 million on a renovation project to accommodate an increase in membership. The 10-year-old facility in Norcross, GA, will feature a new aerobics room, teen center, senior center, expanded wellness center, more free-weights and more fitness equipment. The construction of the wellness area and senior center will be completed this month. The entire project is scheduled for completion in April.

The 116,000-square-foot, full-service Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club in Greenwood Village, CO, celebrated its 20th anniversary in January. The club features an 82,000-square-foot athletic club, 52,000-square-foot tennis club and a 32,000-square-foot outdoor aquatics area.

Life Time Fitness recently celebrated the grand openings of two new facilities in Scottsdale, AZ, and Alpharetta, GA. The Alpharetta location is the company's first fitness center in Georgia while the Scottsdale location is Life Time's fourth club in the Phoenix area.

The Athletic Club of Overland Park will sponsor the ninth annual Race to Nowhere on Feb. 24. The stationary bike race will raise money for the Mid America MS Achievement Center.

Advantage Fitness Products (AFP), which provides planning, design, supply, service and support to nonmember based fitness facilities, became the official fitness consultant for University of Southern California (USC) Recreational Sports. The partnership, born through AFP's work with USC in the ongoing comprehensive redesign and upgrade of the university's student and alumni recreation facility, the William Lyon Center, offers AFP branding and promotional benefits from USC, and offers USC a variety of AFP service benefits and discount opportunities.

The grand opening of 123 StriveFit on Nov. 3 in McMurray, PA, included appearances by Gunnar Peterson, celebrity personal trainer; Bill Kazmaier, the world's strongest man; Grant Roberts, celebrity personal trainer; and Paul Zientarski, physical educator at the Naperville School District and PE4life Academy.
