Arnold Supports Junk Food Ban at Schools

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger wants junk food out of California schools. Instead he’d like to see vending machines filled with fresh fruits, vegetables and milk, he said Sunday during a question-and-answer session at the Arnold Classic.

The governor is backing two childhood obesity related bills that have been introduced in California -- a bill restricting the sale of soft drinks to high school students and a bill to begin a pilot program to give free fresh and dried fruits and fresh vegetables to students in 25 elementary and secondary schools across the state, aides said.

At the bodybuilding and fitness event, Schwarzenegger also answered questions about workout routines, his steroid use and the possibility of running for president.
