Amsterdam, 01-08-2018 - Virtuagym, developer of fitness software for health clubs and trainers, gladly welcomes Lennart Gijsen as their new Chief Commercial Officer.
Gijsen brings years of experience in marketing and product management in SaaS and e-commerce across a variety of industries. Previously, Gijsen worked as Head of Marketing Communications for the open-source groupware platform Zarafa, and as Head of Marketing for Booking.com for Business, where he oversaw the acquisition, growth, content, and product marketing teams.
"We're thrilled to have Lennart on board," says Paul Braam, CEO and co-founder of Virtuagym. "With his passion for innovation and track record in SaaS, we're confident that he'll help us grow Virtuagym faster than ever before."
This new hire closely follows a recent €6M investment led by Endeit Capital, and the closing of several major European fitness chains including Nr1 Fitness, MacFit, and City Club. Gijsens main priority will be maintaining Virtuagym's rapid growth and momentum in key regions, while working with the product and innovation teams to deliver best-of-class services for local businesses.
