(PHOENIX) —  Military veterans and current active duty military members can be awarded free lifelong memberships at Mountainside Fitness.

Mountainside Fitness is honoring our veterans and men and women currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces through a Salute to Service program. Mountainside Fitness invites you to nominate an active duty military member or veteran to be selected and awarded one of five free lifelong memberships.

To nominate a loved one or friend, you will need to provide the nominee’s name, a photo of the nominee, and a brief reason as to why this military member or veteran is deserving of this opportunity. The contest started this month and runs through November 11, 2019.

Five nominees will be selected in November and given a membership to Mountainside Fitness that will never expire. The membership not only includes the state-of-the-art fitness equipment, but also access to basketball courts, more than 80 group fitness classes per week-per club, saunas and steam rooms.  To nominate a service member visit: https://mountainsidefitness.com/salute-to-service-membership-giveaway/.

"We are proud to make it possible to acknowledge veterans and the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who have sacrificed so much serving to protect our country,” said Mountainside Fitness CEO and Founder Tom Hatten. "We strive to give back, because that is the Mountainside Way."

With 18 locations Valley wide, Mountainside Fitness is the largest locally owned fitness chain in Arizona.

Arizona State University student Tom Hatten brought his dream to life and founded Mountainside Fitness in 1991. Since then, it has been a trend throughout the company for the gym to give back to its community. Tom Hatten serves on the boards of Special Olympics and the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. Mountainside Fitness is also a strong supporter of Voices for CASA Children and the Make-A-Wish Foundation serving as a presenting sponsor of its 2019 Walk For Wishes in November.
