Med-Fit Has 34 Percent Growth in Third Quarter

Med-Fit Systems Inc., Fallbrook, CA, manufacturer of Nautilus commercial products, announced a 34 percent increase in sales in third quarter 2011 compared to the same period last year.

The increase marks the third consecutive quarter in which Med-Fit has had growth, according to the company, which did not release specific revenue figures. In addition to the sales growth, Med-Fit posted its sixth consecutive profitable quarter.

“Our steady growth is a function of our new EVO strength line acceptance, new export channels being established and enhanced domestic presence,” Med-Fit CEO Dean Sbragia said in a statement. “We have been able to overcome additional warranty expense as a function transitioning our treadmill production from mainland China. We have been able to address product quality and reliability issues by bringing the manufacturing back under our roof in Virginia, as we had done previously with our elliptical machines.”

Med-Fit is formally introducing the new K2 vertical climber at the Athletic Business Conference next week in Orlando, FL.

Med-Fit currently employs 110 of its 123 full-time workers at its Independence, VA, manufacturing facility. The company plans to hire additional employees as it prepares to begin production on its K2 vertical climber in late December.
