Life Time Fitness, Chanhassen, Minnesota, has signed an agreement for its first location in Wisconsin.
The facility will be part of a 66-acre planned mixed-use development called The Corridor in the Milwaukee suburb of Brookfield, Wisconsin, according to a release from Irgen, the owner of the development.
Construction on the two-story, 120,000-square-foot facility will begin in June 2016 and is expected to be completed by June 2017, according to David Arnold, executive vice president at Irgens.
The building will include a 55,000-square-foot outdoor aquatic center with zero-depth entry pools, lap pools and waterslides. The new facility will have dance, art, music and tumbling studios available for children, indoor and outdoor cafes and a full-service salon and spa.
Other tenants in the space are Dick’s Sporting Goods, Portillo’s and a Hilton Garden Inn hotel. The development also will feature Class A office space along with medical offices and clinical space.
“We’re very happy to bring a new-to-market, high-end destination like Life Time to The Corridor. We’re confident that residents in Brookfield and the surrounding region will find Life Time to be a great addition to the community,” Arnold said.
Life Time currently operates 119 clubs in 26 states.
