Life Time Fitness, Chanhassen, Minnesota, is offering a free indoor triathlon at all of its locations this Sunday to complement its Commitment Day event.
Commitment Day is a nationwide 5K fun run and walk held on New Year's Day and the event is in its fourth year. The indoor triathlon hour is sponsored by IRONMAN and will be available at its 100-plus clubs nationwide and in Canada.
The indoor triathlon is based on time vs. distance and can be completed in 75 minutes. Participants start with 10 minutes in the pool, a 10-minute transition, 30 minutes on a stationary bike, a 5-minute transition and ends with 20 minutes on a treadmill.
Life Time Fitness has other events scheduled around Commitment Day at its various Minnesota locations. Some locations are holding the C9 Challenge Group Fitness Jams event, which features Life Time's newest and most popular Signature Group Fitness classes in partnership with Target's C9 active wear collection. There are also fit talks and workout workshops, family events and evening celebrations, with happy hours at LifeCafes and social cycles in its cycling studios.
