LA Fitness Employee Shot by Coworker in Arkansas

The shooting occurred in the parking lot at the LA Fitness in Little Rock, Arkansas, as one employee was leaving work and another employee allegedly pulled up in a vehicle and shot him three times, according to media reports.

An LA Fitness employee in Little Rock, Arkansas, was allegedly shot by another LA Fitness employee while leaving work on Sunday.

Jarrod Ellison was allegedly shot multiple times by Karl Ice in the parking lot at the LA Fitness on South University Avenue, according to a KATV report citing a Little Rock Police Department Report. The responding officer met with Ellison after the shooting at St. Vincent's Hospital, according to KATV.

Little Rock Police were called to the hospital around 2 p.m. after Ellison arrived with gunshot wounds on his right shoulder and both of his legs, according to an Arkansas Democrat-Gazette report citing the Little Rock Police Department's report. Ellison said he was leaving his job at LA Fitness when Ellison allegedly pulled up in a Toyota Camry, exited the vehicle and began shooting, according to the Democrat-Gazette. Four shell casings were recovered at the scene.

Police later found Ice at an area high school and a handgun was allegedly visible in plain sight, according to the Democrat-Gazette. Ice was arrested on a warrant in an unrelated case and was not charged in the shooting, but police said an investigation is ongoing, according to the Democrat-Gazette.
