Marketing and sales go hand in hand, so Club Industry has put together a “lucky” 13 sessions that you’d be crazy to miss at this year’s Club Industry Show Oct. 9-11 at the Hilton Chicago. Here are insights into a few of them:
One of the Wednesday, Oct. 9 sessions is “Content Matters: 5 Ways to Create Meaningful Content” presented by Hannah Stael von Holstein, vice president of sales at Discover Strength. In this session, she will share the five ways to get attention for your brand in a world of unlimited content by creating content that matters to the consumer.
Here’s an important session considering how important social media is to marketing these days: “Facebook and Your Fitness Business: The Keys to Success” presented by Marisa Hoff, director of operations at E3 Consulting. In this session, Hoff will share best practices for using Facebook to increase leads, engage and retain members as well as generate revenue.
Another session on that day comes from Greg McCoy, owner of Hidden Gym and one of Club Industry’s brand ambassadors. His session is “Event Marketing for Your Fitness Business.”
The last session on Oct. 9 comes from Scott Gillespie, co-owner and president of SACO Sports & Fitness. His session, “The Next Generation Sales Process,” will address how the way consumers interact with the companies they buy from has changed dramatically in recent years. This session digs into how that has affected health club sales and how you can evolve to take advantage of these opportunities.
On Thursday, Oct. 10, the day begins with Casey Conrad, president of Communications Consultants, presenting on “Making your Competition Irrelevant.” Conrad will share the approach she has taken to create differentiation and attract new prospects who are willing to pay more money for the right programs and services.
This next session is sure to be a fun and informative one, based on the video below. Austin Smith, UpShow will present on “Social Storytelling: The Promotional Power of Your People.”
Casey Conrad returns for her second presentation in this track, this time on the topic of “Top-Secret Strategies & Skills for Selling Against the Low Cost Competitors.” In this session, you will gain a new perspective on your low-priced competitors that will help you better compete with them. You will also learn advanced qualifying techniques and questions to ferret out low-priced competitor objections early, touring techniques to ensure every prospect understands and wants the type of services your club provides that your competitors don’t, and exact verbiage for overcoming the low-priced competitor objection at the point of sale.
The sessions on Oct. 11 start with this important one, so set your alarm to get there early: “How to Utilize the Free & Powerful Tool of Google Analytics” presented by Merrill Richmond, marketing executive at Bravo Fit.
