Mr. Retention Comes to the Club Industry Show

Retention is always a hot topic, which is why the Club Industry Show is devoting 12 sessions to retention at this year’s Club Industry Show Oct. 24-26 at the Hilton Chicago. This year, we are excited that Paul Brown, regarded as an expert on member retention, exercise adherence and brand loyalty, will be one of the presenters on this topic.

As the founding president and CEO of Face2Face Retention Systems, Brown has designed and implemented retention programs into some of the world’s fastest-growing and most successful health club groups. He has helped many small group and independent operators thrive in competitive markets. Today, he heads up the retention programs for select clients in many major markets, providing each an often-exclusive advantage. Most have been working closely with him for many years, including the UK’s award-winning énergie Fitness Group since 2003, Brazil’s Bio Ritmo group since 2004 and the Belgravia Leisure Group in his native Australia.

Brown has delivered more than 1,000 presentations and keynote addresses to major conferences in 28 countries, but this will be the first time he has been available to speak at the Club Industry Show. He is coming this year at the invitation of Club Industry’s Retention Track Chair Chris Stevenson, owner of Stevenson Fitness, who was impressed when he saw Brown’s presentation at another conference.

To make the most of this opportunity, Club Industry has allocated Brown a two-part slot in the schedule, so make sure to attend both sessions, which focus on retaining clients, improving sales and generating referrals.

The first session is “Mr. Retention’s Intensive Part I,” which occurs from 1:15 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Oct 25. In this session, Brown will share facts about why most health and fitness businesses do a poor job at retention, and then he will offer some quick fixes.

The second session, “Mr. Retention’s Intensive Part II,” occurs from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Oct 25 and will focus on retention solutions in detail and mapping out your own retention plan.

Make sure to register for Brown’s session and the full Club Industry Show by going here. What you will learn in these three days will help you find, win and keep more members now, in 2019 and beyond.
