Star Trac Supports Dinosaur Dash Run

Star Trac supported and cheered 10K runners during the Tustin Public Schools (CA) Foundation's 17th Annual Dinosaur Dash Run on Nov. 4. The company provided water at its Myford Road office building, which was near the 10K course. The run raised money to finance special learning programs in Tustin public schools and benefited the private, not-for-profit Tustin Public Schools Foundation.

Extreme Fitness Keeps Up With Air Force Academy

Extreme Fitness Inc. is working on a new rack attachment system for the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, as part of its 21-year working relationship with the academy. Extreme Fitness Inc. currently supplies the academy with its MSP rack and platform training systems, as well as glute-hamstring machines, a selection of free weight equipment and 12 specially designed standing leg isolation curl machines.

“We have supplied more than $750,000 worth of fitness equipment over the years, and we will continue to serve to build the best fitness equipment to train male and female athletes as well as cadets in the United States Air Force,” says John Huerta, vice president of Extreme Fitness.

HyperStrike Sponsors Xtreme Fighting Group

HyperStrike, an interactive online fitness service, is sponsoring the Xtreme Fighting Association, a mixed martial arts company. HyperStrike offers programs with 600 multi-view, life-like 3-D workout videos created by certified personal trainers.

Matrix Third-Quarter Sales Up

Matrix Fitness Systems' U.S. third-quarter sales increased by 98 percent over the corresponding 2006 period, the company announced. Over the same time frame last year, global sales grew 55 percent. Chris Clawson, president of Matrix, attributes the growth to the company's new products, including the Ascent Trainer, Incline Elliptical and the Hybrid Cycle.
