Sibec Europe/UK Expands to Include the Middle East in 2023

Sibec Europe|UK will expand in 2023 to include buyers from the Middle East, and it will be renamed Sibec EMEA, according to an announcement from Questex, which owns and operates Sibec, a one-to-one event serving the fitness industry for more than 20 years.

The 2023 Sibec EMEA will occur Sept. 26-29, 2023, at the Hilton Sorrento Palace in Sorrento, Italy.

“While recruiting for this year’s event, we received incredible interest from all over the globe, and we had to unfortunately turn people away due to space limitations and the Europe-focused strategy,” said Marty McCallen, managing director, Questex Fitness Group. “At the request of our audience of suppliers, we will expand the event to a larger geographic region and give the entire audience the most valuable event for their business needs. We are excited to host the event next year at the beautiful Hilton Sorrento Palace.”

Questex also owns Club Industry and Sibec North America, which Questex announced in August would be renamed Sibec Americas because it is expanding to include companies from Central America and South America. The next Sibec Americas event will take place May 7-10, 2023, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

This year’s Sibec Europe/UK concluded last week at the Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort in Portugal, with more than 750 one-to-one meetings between global suppliers and owners and operators of health and fitness facilities in Europe and the United Kingdom.

In addition to the one-to-one meetings, the event included networking activities, receptions and education. This year’s education included presentations by Andreas Paulsen, CEO, Europe Active; David Stalker, president, Europe Active and CEO, Myzone; and Dr. Paul Bedford, owner, Retention Guru.
