Sibec Europe and the European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF) are moving forward with plans for their events in early November in Cologne, Germany, according to an announcement from the two organizations.
Sibec Europe is a hosted buyer event for suppliers and operators to be held Nov. 2-5. Sibec Europe is owned by Questex, which also is the parent company of Club Industry. European club operators will meet with suppliers in a series of one-on-one meetings over two dedicated business days. Throughout the Sibec event, attendees meet senior executives, operators and suppliers during meals and other planned networking activities, allowing for the cross-sharing of ideas and best practices and building business relationships.
The EHFF is a European educational and networking event on Nov. 3 put on by EuropeActive. It will be held as a hybrid event, meaning that some of the speakers will be on-site in Cologne with a limited audience of industry representatives from around Europe while other speakers will be professionally live-streamed into the event. EHFF registrants will watch virtually. The EHFF program will include sessions and presentations by leaders from within and outside of the industry under the four pillars of EuropeActive’s manifesto: health, digital, community and standards.
The two events initially were to be held in conjunction with FIBO, but Reed Exhibitions, which hosts FIBO, announced last month that FIBO will be postponed to April 2022.
Two other EuropeActive events will take place virtually that week. The European Fitness Associations Forum (EFAF) will occur on Nov. 4, and the International Standards Meeting (ISM) will occur on Nov. 5.
In-person attendees of Sibec EU, EHFF, EuropeActive’s President’s Council as well as leadership from FIBO will come together for a gala evening on Nov. 3 with cocktails and dinner followed by a keynote presentation by Dr. Imran Rashid, who has a background as a family physician and IT entrepreneur. He is author of books on stress, sleep disorders and the impact of smartphones on the human brain.
