Sibec Europe Is Cancelled for 2021

Sibec Europe, which had been scheduled for Nov. 2-5 in Cologne, Germany, has been cancelled, according to Questex, the event organizer.

Questex pointed to “the ongoing challenges associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19)” as the reason for the cancellation. The decision to cancel was made after consultation with the fitness community in Europe, according to the announcement.

Sibec Europe, which is a hosted buyer program, originally was scheduled for Italy Nov. 2-5, but then was moved to Cologne to co-locate with FIBO and EuropeActive events scheduled for that week in Cologne. However, in July, FIBO announced it was moving the event to April 7-10, 2022, due to COVID concerns.

EuropeActive, in cooperation with FIBO Global Fitness, will still host the European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF) as a hybrid event on Nov. 3, meaning that some of the speakers will be on-site in Cologne, together with a small group of industry representatives who will be live-streamed in order for EHFF participants to join and watch across Europe and beyond.

Questex plans to release more information about the 2022 Sibec EU event over the next few months and publish updates at www.sibeceu.com, according to the announcement.

Club Industry is also owned by Questex.
