Life Time, Chanhassen, Minnesota, has purchased the Craig Ranch Fitness & Spa that is part of the 80-acre mixed-used Craig Ranch development in McKinney, Texas, and plans to spend several million dollars to renovate it into a 100,000-square-foot athletic resort destination, the company announced.
Once opened, the resort will be the 12th Life Time location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Its 11th location in the area, Life Time Frisco, will open in early 2022.
Life Time McKinney at Craig Ranch will include a Kids Academy, tween programs, studio group exercise classes, group training, one-on-one personal training, specialized programs for senior citizens.
The facility will have dedicated studios for barre, cardio and strength group classes, indoor cycling, Pilates and yoga. It will have designated space for Life Time's signature small group training programs—GTX, Alpha and Ultra Fit. It also will have eight pickleball courts and a tennis court, LifeCafe, LifeSpa massage services, and an outdoor resort experience with a 50-meter outdoor pool, lounge seating and more.
