Life Time Opens First Pickleball-Only Club, Adds Athletic Resort in Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Life Time has expanded its brand with the opening of two locations: a pickleball-only location in Bloomington, Minnesota, and its 10th athletic resort in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The pickleball club, Life Time Bloomington North, opened Feb. 20 after a multi-million dollar renovation to include five international competitive-level pickleball courts and a dedicated viewing area for open play and tournaments.  Later this year, a full bar and lounge space will open for post-play social gatherings and events.

Life Time has more than 30 permanent pickleball courts across seven of its clubs in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, and courts in 120 of its athletic resorts overall. It plans to have 400 dedicated courts nationwide within the next two years.

"Life Time has committed to becoming not just the largest pickleball provider here and across our clubs but more importantly, the premier pickleball destination," Life Time President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Zwiefel said in the announcement. "The opening of Bloomington North, along with our other pickleball offerings across the metro, is truly creating unbeatable experiences for anyone who plays – or is learning to play – this great sport."
