IHRSA Offers Virtual Option for 2021 Convention

The 40th Annual IHRSA International Convention & Trade Show (IHRSA 2021) will now occur in-person and virtually, IHRSA announced last week.

The online option is being offered due to travel restrictions for many of the attendees who come to IHRSA from outside the United States

“We are excited to reinforce IHRSA 2021 by offering a hybrid option this October,” Liz Clark, IHRSA’s president and CEO, said in the announcement. “For anybody not able to travel, IHRSA will offer both an in-person and virtual program so that our global community of members can connect for three days of knowledge-sharing, education, and intensive networking.”

IHRSA shared the health and safety measures it is taking for those who will attend in person, but said that the hybrid program is for anyone who is not able to attend the event in person.

Select sessions at the event will be translated into five languages—Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Translating sessions allow virtual attendees to immerse themselves in the program in their own language. The virtual program will stream and translate the keynote speakers, the SPARK! Sessions and an educational session in each major time slot.

Plus, online attendees will receive exclusive virtual content, such as four regional CEO panel discussions and virtual visits to 10 of health clubs around the world. All attendees—virtual and in-person—have extended access to selective Dallas sessions, which are available on-demand the day after the session begins until Dec. 31, 2021.
