FIBO Pushes Event to 2022; Sibec EU Still On for Fall

FIBO, an international trade show, is being moved from Nov. 4-7, 2021, to April 7-10, 2022, due to continued COVID-19 concerns, according to Reed Exhibitions (RX), which puts on FIBO.

Other events being held in conjunction with FIBO will be held either virtually or in-person. Sibec EU, which had been moved to Cologne to be held parallel to FIBO, is still planned for Cologne as an in-person hosted buyer event for suppliers and operators. Sibec EU is part of Questex, which also owns Club Industry.  The President's Council Summit, which is put on by EuropeActive, also will continue with its educational and networking program in person.

The European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF), the European Fitness Associations Forum (EFAF) and the International Standards Meeting (ISM) will become virtual events.

These events will be held Nov. 2-5.

"An international event like FIBO is simply not feasible under these current circumstances. The expectations that our exhibitors, visitors, partners and we have of a world-leading trade show cannot be met under these conditions in autumn," Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein, CEO of the organizer RX Austria & Germany, said in the announcement. "We have therefore decided, together with our exhibitors and partners, to postpone the event to April 2022." This means that FIBO will return to its usual spring schedule next year.
