ABC Fitness Solutions to Buy Glofox

ABC Fitness Solutions, Little Rock, Arkansas, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Glofox, a fitness management platform based in Dublin, Ireland, servicing the boutique gym and studio sector.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the transaction is expected to close later this year.

The move expands ABC’s global reach and its reach into the boutique studio space. It is just the latest of several acquisitions by ABC. Other companies recently acquired include Trainerize, GymSales and FitnessBI.

Glofox was founded by former professional rugby player Conor O'Loughlin and his colleagues Finn Hegarty and Anthony Kelly. The three will continue to be leaders in the combined business. Offering management software with an all-in-one platform for studios, Glofox has 220 staff members who serve customers in more than 80 countries in 17 languages. Like ABC, it provides solutions covering all aspects of running a fitness business, from customer acquisition to billing management, from business intelligence to member engagement.

Collectively, the two companies will support more than 31 million members across more than 24,000 fitness locations.
