3 Fitness Franchisors Receive Global Franchise Awards

Xponential Fitness CEO Anthony Geisler, Snap Fitness and Body Street received Global Franchise Awards handed out Feb. 25 at the International Franchising Association’s Annual Convention in San Diego.

The Global Franchise Awards 2022, now in its fifth year, honors franchise brands that are leaders in their respective categories, according to Global Franchise magazine, which gives out the awards. Winners were chosen based on an analysis of their international presence, strong franchisee support, innovative marketing campaigns and an overall willingness to advance franchising on a global scale.

Xponential Fitness CEO Anthony Geisler received the Contribution to International Franchising Award, which is a lifetime achievement award given to “people involved in any aspect of franchising who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to further the understanding of franchising and raise the bar of franchise practice.” The award was given to Geisler for the growth of the Xponential brand under his leadership and for his advocacy of the franchise model, according to Global Franchise.

Snap Fitness received the Best Fitness Franchise award, which is open to international gyms, studios, dance studios, trampoline parks and other activity-based concepts. Snap Fitness received the award through a strategic brand repositioning that included its refreshed “For the Feeling” member proposition. This refresh creates a welcoming environment that breaks down barriers, as well as an experience that supports the belief that all fitness is valid fitness. It also received it for being a leader in international franchising with several new locations opening across the globe in the Asia Pacific, Europe and Middle East regions.

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized amongst our peers as one of the top international franchise brands,” said Ty Menzies, Global CEO of Lift Brands, parent brand of Snap Fitness. “This wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of the entire Snap Fitness team that has brought us to this point. I look forward to even more wins for our team in 2022 and beyond, as the leading concept in the fitness industry.”

Body Street, Berlin, Germany, received the Regional Champion – Europe award, which is one of four new regional categories and is for a brand headquartered in Europe that stands out in the region while having a presence outside their domestic market. Body Street, a boutique brand that offers a combination of personal training and electro muscle stimulation (EMS), is now franchising in the United States.
