This gallery features 10 takeaways from PHIT America’s latest research on America’s inactivity pandemic.

Physical inactivity is the most overlooked issue in the health and wellness industry, according to a new report by PHIT America, Silver Spring, Maryland.

“I am astonished by the number of people I talk with that don’t know or care what is going on with physical activity levels in the U.S., in our industry,” PHIT American founder Jim Baugh said in a media release associated with PHIT’s latest Inactivity Pandemic Report 2018.

On Aug. 1, PHIT released two versions of the report: an "Impact on America" edition and a "Sports & Fitness Industry" edition. Together, the reports put forth 20 observations on inactivity and offer 20 solutions to solve the problem.

In this gallery, we share 10 takeaways from PHIT’s research. To view the full report, click here.
