This press release was provided by Core Health & Fitness LLC. The Club Industry editorial staff was not involved in the creation of this content.

Core Health & Fitness LLC, the Vancouver, WA-based parent company of Star Trac and StairMaster, has partnered with the brand new YMCA of Murrieta (Calif.) to provide comprehensive fitness solutions for their entire 23,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. With more than 100 pieces of equipment including E Series cardio, Spinner NXT Black Belt bikes, Impact Strength, Leverage, HumanSport functional training equipment, benches, racks, and free weights. Backed by dedicated, local service and engaging programming, the YMCA of Murrieta will deliver an unparalleled fitness experience to their members to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.

“We are very excited to be working in partnership with the YMCA of Orange County to help provide equipment to a beautiful new facility in Murrieta that helps to serve this great community,” explains Nicole Hagar, Southern California Representative for Core Health & Fitness. “As a company, we provide products, programs and solutions to mold lifelong habits for health and fitness; and the ability to combine this with the vision of the YMCA of Orange County Orange to improve lives and foster healthy living that’s driven by their passionate staff is a wonderful achievement not only on a business front but also personally. It’s an absolute pleasure to be a part of this new venture with them and we look forward to a long lasting and supportive relationship with the Murrieta YMCA.”

Being designed from the ground up with an unwavering focus on the local community, the YMCA of Murrieta is custom built to cater to members with any fitness goal in mind. The cardio deck features E-Series treadmills, upright bikes, recumbent bikes and ellipticals with unique upgrades like 15” HD embedded touch screen TVs, iPod compatibility, and the Star Trac Coach personal training program with more than one million unique workout options (treadmill only). The YMCA also selected unique modalities to engage and motivate users like the E Series StairMill moving staircase to target key muscles and the air-resistance Turbo Trainer bike for high intensity interval training. Combined, this cardio deck features products for exercisers of any fitness level with programs to challenge members to reach their goals and entertainment options to motivate them through any cardio session.

Because programming is such a vital component to the YMCA experience, the Murrieta YMCA selected the quiet, smooth, belt-driven Spinner NXT Black Belt for their 2,300 square foot multi-media cycling center. This Spinner bike is virtually maintenance free, making it ideal for the numerous classes they will hold on a daily basis.

The strength area will feature a complete range of products from the high quality Inspiration and Impact selectorized strength lines to the well-appointed, six-piece circuit of HumanSport functional training equipment offering dual independent weight stacks and cable-guided motion for true-to-life body movements. Rounding out the strength offering is a complement of free weights, benches, racks, and multi-stations encouraging multiple ways to train every muscle group to engage users of every size and ability.

“Star Trac has a great reputation for quality equipment,” explains Mark Barriere, Executive Director of the YMCA of Riverside County. “In the last few years, they completely updated and changed their manufacturing protocols to create very dependable and cutting edge equipment. Their selectorized equipment is not only aesthetically pleasing but biomechanically optimized. Star Trac has maintained very high standards over the years and their equipment is very user friendly and approachable. Regarding my experiences, there service is second to none.”

Equally as important as high quality fitness equipment is the partnership between Core Health & Fitness and the YMCA of Murrieta to make the lofty plans for this new YMCA for the Murrieta community come to life. In order to properly understand the different feature sets of products available to them, Core Health & Fitness invited the YMCA fitness team to their local Orange County, Calif. headquarters to experience and workout on the entire product line. This unique opportunity let the YMCA decision makers think like their members, trying out different features and programs on each product in varying price points to ensure that they select the correct mix of products for their facility.

To demonstrate their dedication to the success of their partnership with the YMCA and the success of the brand new Murrieta YMCA, Core Health & Fitness also provides a dedicated, local service contact exclusively for the YMCA. This service tech has access to the entire parts depot at the Core Health & Fitness office, which means that the YMCA has a true, local partner who is dedicated to their equipment uptime and facility safety.

“I have always enjoyed working with Star Trac,” comments Kevin Trump, Director of Property Management for the YMCA of Orange County (Calif.). “They produce a good product, are local, provide good customer service and offer on site trainings that have been very beneficial to us.”

With a grand opening scheduled for the summer of 2015, the YMCA of Murrieta is accepting new members now at its preview center. For more information about the YMCA of Murrieta, visit www.ymcarc.org.
